The Persian Gulf Swimming Project is a national project
From the beginning of the main stage of the Persian Gulf Swim , six members of the specialized and logistical team together with a vessel equipped with diving security devices, and a well-equipped marine ambulance (donated by the Aid and Rescue Section) will accompany the swimmer, and his health status will be checked by medical experts. After daily operations, the swimmer and other members of the team will be accommodated in the vessel, which will be stopped near the course of the swim, in the night and will be equipped again.
Also, in order to protect the swimmer from probable attacks by marine creatures, a metal frame designed and built by experts will be used and the swimmer will swim inside the frame along the highly hazardous parts of the course.
The total course of the project has been preplanned, checked and marked through the GPS. The time of the start of the swim, the swimming speed, the stops, and all the trend of the project will be recorded on a daily basis through a computer.
Along the swimming course, thirteen points will be designated as cultural stops, with respect to the geographical and historical conditions of the ancient civilization of the Persian Gulf in order for publicity and cultural purposes. The intended points will be: 1- the Khamir Port, 2- the Lenge Port, 3- the Kish Island, 4- the Magham Port, 5- the Asalouye Port, 6- the Siraf Port, 7- the Kangan Port, 8- the Nakhilou Island, 9- Delvar, 10- the Bushehr Port, 11- the Genaveh Port, 12- the Deilam Port, and 13- the Arvand Coast.
At each stop, ceremonies will be held and slogans will be chanted in protest against changing the name of the Persian Gulf. After finishing the project, and the swimmer and the logistical team’s reaching the final destination, the ceremonies titled, “the Great National Ceremonies of the Persian Gulf “ will be held in which civil and local dignitaries, the aborigines of the region, together with prominent cultural, scientific, athletic and political figures will participate.
It should be mentioned that these ceremonies will be covered by International domestic and foreign news and media networks, and will highly publicize the ever-lasting name of the Persian Gulf.
